Bobst demonstrates a fully automated Master M6 press line at Labelexpo Europe 2023, targeted at short-to-medium runs in the flexible packaging and unsupported label film spaces.
The Bobst Master M6 flexo press will demonstrate how a combination of oneECG technology for extended color gamut printing and its V-Flower printing units enable fast, automatic changeovers of the print cylinders without stopping the press and with minimal waste.
The Master M6 press will form a central part of Bobst’s participation in the Labelexpo Europe 2023 Flex Pack Trail.
Matteo Cardinotti, general manager and global head of Bobst Narrow Mid-Web division, said: “Bobst chose to take part in the Flex Pack Trail at Labelexpo Europe 2023 because the boundaries between flexible packaging and labels are disappearing both from a brand owners standpoint – who is asking exactly the same things they are asking for labels: added-value solutions, faster job turnarounds, and reduced inventory costs – and from a converter standpoint, who would like to diversify their business and target becoming a one stop shop for their customers.
“Bobst shows at Labelexpo its high-end Bobst Master M6 flexo press, the most automated and digitalized in-line flexo press in the market today. This press closes the gaps between ultra-short runs of flexible packaging produced on pure digital presses and the very long runs done on CI flexo or gravure presses, with the ability to be profitable even on short-run.”
Alongside the Master M6 Bobst demonstrates its Bobst Digital Master 340 ‘all-in-one’ press under the motto “Simplifying label production”.
The Digital Master 340 modular and upgradable label press is equipped with the latest UV inkjet technology, which will be running live at 100 m/min. Visitors will be able to see how Bobst’s ACCUCHECK system, which comes as standard on this machine, performs 100% inline quality control at full speed. The full configuration will also include flexo modules and a highly automated die-cutting unit to showcase true end-to-end label production.
