ETI complete 20th UV-cured adhesive coating equipment instal
ETI has successfully completed its 20th project incorporating UV-cured adhesive equipment.
This project, delivered to an American client specializing in custom-engineered labelling solutions for highly-regulated applications, marks a significant milestone in ETI innovative journey.
Previously reliant on external labelstock purchases, the client strategically shifted to in-house labelstock production by embracing the Acuro platform. This decision was driven by a meticulous analysis of multiple factors and is set to unlock substantial profits attributed to the client’s bold move toward vertical integration.
The production line boasts cutting-edge capabilities, including inline silicone release coating and curing, and an innovative two-position, adhesive coating station that can direct coat or transfer coat UV-cured adhesives. Uniquely engineered by ETI, this Acuro enables our client to produce linerless label roll stock, in addition to pressure sensitive laminates on both paper and film.
Richard Hoffmann, United States Sales Manager for ETI Converting, said: “I’m thrilled to be a part of this project because additional revenue opportunities are already lining up for our customer as a result of their decision to become more independent.”
In a concerted effort to achieve superior label quality, a collaborative approach was adopted. Prior to finalizing the machine design and raw materials selection, sample materials were produced in ETI’s state-of-the-art Technology Center. This hands-on validation process ensured that end-user expectations were not only met but exceeded. The project, from inception to completion, stands as a testament to ETI’s commitment to delivering a turnkey solution, emphasizing collaboration and innovation at every step.
