The first Label Industry China Awards is launched to mark 20 years of Labelexpo Asia
The Label Industry China Awards will recognize organizations and individuals in China who have excelled in the label and package printing sector through innovation and best practice in 2022.
The organizer of the Labelexpo Global Series has launched the first Label Industry China Awards, with the aim of recognizing those organizations and individuals in the Asia Pacific region who have excelled in the label and package printing sector through innovation and best practice.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Labelexpo Asia and the Label Industry China Awards has been launched to coincide and help celebrate this anniversary.
The Label Industry Global Awards extended into Asia
Since its foundation in 1992, the Label Industry Global Awards has been recognized as the highest accolade within the label and package printing industry. The newly created Label Industry China Awards is an extension of the Label Industry Global Awards.
Andy Thomas-Emans, Strategic Director, Labelexpo Global Series and chair of the judging panel of the Label Industry Global Awards, said: “The Label Industry Global Awards are unique in recognizing and celebrating outstanding individuals and companies in our industry. I am very excited to see the Awards now extended to China, the world’s fastest growing label and package printing market. We look forward to celebrating innovation and excellence, and to contribute to the development of China’s label and package printing industry.”
Kevin Liu, China Project Director of Labelexpo Global Series, added: “Launching the China Awards is very important for us. I still remember how excited and proud I was when Mr. Tan Junqiao won the R. Stanton Avery Global Achievement Award and became the first Chinese to stand on the highest podium of the global label industry in 2017. We hope that the China Awards will bring more of these pioneers to the world stage.”
There will be four Label Industry China Awards: for Innovation, Individual Achievement, Media Impact and the region’s most sustainable factory. Entry is free and submissions must be received by 20th October 2023. Nominees in each category will be judged by a panel of industry experts, and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner at Labelexpo Asia 2023 in Shanghai.
Kevin Liu said: “For companies and individuals participating in the Label Industry China Awards, there are opportunities to enhance their global reputation by leveraging the powerful influence of the Labelexpo Global Series. At the same time, the Label Industry China Awards is committed to becoming the main platform in Asia which brings together industry professionals from across the region with leading industry figures from the international label community.”
