The recently launched Labelino range of tabletop label applicators will form the centrepiece of Travtec Group’s participation at PPMA 2021, where the company will also showcase its range of specialist product handling systems, particularly suited to pharmaceutical and general packaging applications.
The Labelino range provides a cost-effective solution for the application of self-adhesive labels to cans, bottles, pouches and cartons. Ideal for smaller volumes and wide size range, it is particularly suitable for small to medium contract packers where frequent changeovers and limited production runs require maximum efficiency and minimum down-time. The Labelino is available as a full wrap-round, front & back, or top label applicator and is competitively priced for a quality product.
The TinyTampino provides a low-cost cost-effective offline solution for the application of tamper-evident labels to cartons. Able to handle smaller volumes and trial runs, it offers a solution for pharmaceutical packs to enable them to meet FMD regulations.
Among its range of standard handling systems, Travtec also offers two solutions for the coding of information onto the base of packs and containers, including bottles, jars and cans. The Diverter is designed to be mounted onto existing conveyors up to 150mm wide to provide a compact solution where space is at a premium, while the Paratran is installed between existing conveying lines.
Both models can be integrated with either continuous ink jet or laser coding equipment, and the Paratran can also be used for inspection operations, using a vision system or barcode scanner. Adjustment between container sizes takes only seconds, and the twin side-belt synchronised drives ensure positive container control and guidance.
In addition, Travtec has developed the Cap Press for the automatic pressing of snap-on caps onto tubs, jars and cans, which can be quickly attached to most conveyors within one hour.
The Cap Press replaces the laborious hand press operation and eliminates potential wrist strain and injury from this repetitive action. The machine features an integrated hand wind and angular adjustment that compensates for different container heights to enable adjustment between different sizes to be carried out in a matter of seconds. For fast and efficient operation, the Cap Press variable speed drive can be easily synchronised with existing conveyors, and its belt drive ensures positive control and guidance, gently pressing on the cap without excessive force.
Travtec’s long-standing knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical sector means it can also offer a one stop shop for effective track and trace solutions. The company’s expertise in coding, marking and vision systems will be shown in the latest Travino off-line semi-automatic serialisation system for printing and reading serialised data on flat or erected cartons. Travtec personnel will also be on hand during the show to discuss any specific projects with visitors.
