Catit showcase sustainable cat food packaging
Pet brand Catit is focusing on sustainability this Earth Month, highlighting their wet food range, Catit Cuisine, which comes in a new alternative packaging that is both sustainable and practical.
In addition, their Catit Recipes dry food range uses recyclable packaging unlike many other pet food options.
Using only fresh and natural ingredients, Catit Cuisine offers an abundance of options for picky eaters from gourmet Pâtés and Mousses to nourishing Stews. This new wet food range is available now in Tetra Pak cartons, which are a better packaging option for the environment compared to traditional pouches. Each little box of Catit Cuisine wet food holds a generous amount of food and contains up to 25% more than the average cat food pouch or can.
Their Tetra Recart boxes are easy to open and reseal, so you can keep your cat’s favourite pâté, mousse or stew in the fridge overnight to be enjoyed the next day. Made of 70% renewable FSC-certified paperboard, Tetra Recart boxes are recyclable and have a lower carbon footprint than most other types of packaging.
Catit Recipes dry food range is ideal for free feeding and is carefully balanced to provide your cat with highly tasty food that offers complete daily nutrition that is free from additives. With three flavour options, they’re sure to please any fussy feline.
The range of cat kibbles is freshly prepared at a climate-neutral facility, applying the highest international standards for food quality and hygiene.
Unlike most other pet foods, Catit use recyclable packaging made of LDPE4, which is fully recyclable at most supermarkets and recycling centres, or in your kerbside recycling bin (please be sure to check with your local authority).
Paul Trott, UK Marketing Manager for Catit, said: “During this Earth Month and beyond, Catit are keen to showcase the planet-friendly production and packaging options we have introduced to help save the planet one pawprint at a time.”
Both ranges are available online now.
